Making the Bed
We went in with the intention of making the bed, but I think, ended up with more lumps than when we started!

Rocks in Water
Hogan spent many minutes throwing rocks into the lake. He kept inching closer and closer to the water until he finally put his hand in and let the cold waves lap his hand over and over, laughing delightedly the whole time.
Hiking Continued
Then there was the train. A really cool thing about this trail is that a train bridge crosses it, so if you time it just right you get to see a train. And if you don't know how to time it just right and you're with a curious toddler who hikes slowly, you grab him at the first train whistle you hear and start booking it down the trail in hopes that you can make it before the whole train passes. We made it just in time to see the last of the train speeding by.
TGIF!
Last Friday Hogan and I took out to the Greenbelt Corridor and did a little hiking. It was one of those perfect days. First, on Fridays I always feel like I can finally take a breath and relax. And then, to add to a good Friday feeling was the weather that was warm, breezy, and smelling like Spring is on its way. So, off we went. Again, to reiterate from past blogs, there is something special about hiking with a toddler who enjoys the process and finds even the seemingly uninteresting to be fascinating. Take for instance, the dandelion. Once I showed him how you could blow of the white part, he was determined to find and pick every single one along the whole trail, which as you can imagine, makes hiking laborious and slow, but oh so glorious!
