Cedar Park Train

It seems like our life is about going from one train ride to the next. We found a fun little train ride when we went to visit Oma and Opa this past weekend. Trains are just exciting no matter the variable- short train rides, miniature engines, Thomas Tank Engine, scenery-filled train rides, round a circle train ride- you name it- we've seen it and I know this is just a start! We're not near done making the tour of Texas trains!

Pony Ride

Hogan went on his first pony ride very soon after going on his very first real train ride. It was a day of fun firsts!

Day Out With Thomas

Troy got nearly as excited as Hogan did when we saw Thomas. Troy couldn't believe he was so realistic looking- Thomas looks just like he does on TV only bigger! We even got to meet Sir Toppemhat. Hogan gave him a high 5!

Day Out With Thomas

Thomas the train visited Texas and we got to see and ride him! Hogan could barely contain himself this morning. He even wore his conductor's hat long enough for Troy to take some cute pictures; although as time went on he looked less like a conductor and more like a hip-hop star (see last picture)- just add some bling and a grill and there you go!

Colored Eggs

I wasn't sure about dyeing eggs with a 2- year old, but Nana went for it like a pro and Hogan loved it!

Egg Hunt

Hogan had an egg hunt at his school. They practiced finding eggs all week long, so by this particular day they were all pros! However, egg hunting with toddlers is an interesting experience. It's not ALL about the eggs. They're very casual about finding the eggs and much more interested in taking a slide, stopping by some dirt to dig through it, climbing on the castle, picking flowers, etc. I will say that once Hogan realized that some of the eggs had marshmallows, cookies, and chocolate in them, he picked up his pace a bit (see picture 2- he's not messing around there!)

Trip to the Zoo

Hogan loved feeding the goats at the zoo. I like the 3rd picture where he is offering his whole bowl to the goat- a perfect example of Hogan's generous spirit.
