Denton to Memphis

We successfully made it through the first leg of our journey with no disasters. It was a long day in the car, but we discovered some fun places along the way. In Sulphur Springs, Tx. we stopped at Coleman Park. It was very wet and muddy, but had beautiful nature trails. Our next stop was in Texarkana where we visited the Discovery Museum. Along with many kid-friendly science exhibits they had a Tot Spot that was a perfect place for Hogan to play and stretch his legs. We made our 3rd stop in Hot Springs, Arkansas. Once we found the trailhead everyone was happy, but we all had a near breakdown with Hogan crying and Troy and I trying to navigate through the windy streets. Before getting to Memphis, we picnicked in Brinkley, Arkansas. They had a nice little park right off the highway. We finally cruised into Memphis around 7:30 (13 1/2 hours after our departure from Denton). We were all tired, but in good spirits. We're ready for our second leg tomorrow!
