Memphis to North Carolina

Wow! What a loooooong day in the car. Hogan was spectacular. He only got out-of-his-mind stir crazy the last 15 miles. At that point there was absolutely nothing that would make him happy, not a DVD, a song, a toy. He was just ready to get out of the car. As a result, that was the most excruciating and longest 15 miles I've ever trekked. It made the rest of the day seem short in comparison.

Speaking of the rest of the day, again, we stopped at some interesting sites. We began in Jackson, TN at the Casey Jones Railroad Village. It looked really neat. We just got to walk around because it wasn't open at that time, but we imagine that it's lots of fun. Next, we visited the Frist Art Center in Nashville. They had a cool kids' space with blocks, books, and various art activities. However, Hogan's favorite part was climbing the stairs. We could have done that for free! After Nashville, we made it to Knoxville to see the World's Fair Park. The coolest part of the park were the fountains. Kids were everywhere. It was like a hydrant had been opened on a city street.

We finally made it to NC around 7:30 in the evening. It was the greatest feeling to finally reach our destination. We have a fun week of hiking, swimming, canoeing, shopping, and golfing planned. I'll try to post pictures throughout the week!
