Yesterday Hogan and I took a field trip to the Heard Museum to see the snake exhibit. Besides having a whole room devoted to live snakes there were also some interactive components to the exhibit. Hogan's favorite was this walkway that showed you what the inside of a snake would be like. He was a little timid at first, but quickly warmed up to the idea of running through a snake. He even made a little friend and the two of them ran back and forth through the snake for several minutes. I don't think this is what the curators of the exhibit imagined for this activity, but it worked well for us.
After we finished going through the snake exhibit we went outside for a small hike. My favorite part was when Hogan and I sat on a bench to eat a snack. From this bench we had a nice view of trees, sky, and butterflies flitting to and fro. Hogan just kept exclaiming, "Wow!" as we ate our grapes and enjoyed the scenery. So sweet.
Note: You will also notice that he is wearing some new hiking boots, which he calls, "Boops". He loves his boops.

Looks like fun! And I love his new rugged look. Can't wait to give him a hug, and you guys, too.
